Mr Rene Mbuli is a Young Southern Cameroonian. He is holder of a BA and MA in International Relations. He is a consultant in peace education, Conflict Resolution and facilitation. He is an activist for the restoration of the Southern Cameroons autonomy. He hopes for the political,economic and social transformation of the Cameroons in particular and Africa in general. Within the civil society, he is the founder and President of: Action for Peace and Development (ASSOPED)-- formerly Association of Young Peacekeepers for Peace and Development(ASSOYOPPED).Mr. Mbuli has worked at the Headquarters of the United Nations Organisation (UNO) , Department of Peacekeeping Operations(DPKO), New York, USA. With a vision to see true and sustainable peace and development return to Africa;Mr Mbuli hopes to bring his own contribution to the edifice through ASSOPED. Africa being the craddle of humanity needs to occupy its rightful position on the map of the world. Mr Mbuli believes that stereotypes that western medias portray about Africa such as :poverty, wars, child soldiers, diseases,suffering are over exaggerated. Africa is much more than what it is being portrayed to be.
